<< Back to Events 2015
This exercise is to provide communications support to the Long Distance Walking Association’s 2015 Winter Poppyline challenge walk. This is a 50 mile walk with a time limit of 22 hours.
The walk will start at 0800 on Saturday from Aylsham School, and finish at 0600 on Sunday again at Aylsham School.
There will be 5 Check Points (CP) at locations where the walking route coincides with public road access, the majority of the route is on track/path.
The first CP will be manned by marshals at 0900, and communications will start from this point. The other CPs will be manned in sequence, but with increasing amounts of time overlap.
The operating frequency is expected to be 144.650MHz.
